About the Programme

With main target of local community members, the project aims to present the dynamic aspects of the Yau Tsim Mong District in the art forms of environmental theatre, movement and storytelling, with a view to cultivating the interest of the local community in the arts and enhance their sense of belonging to the community. Through artistic activities, artists bring sensory and intellectual stimulation to participants and audiences, rediscovering the image of Yau Tsim Mong, showcasing its unique characteristics and transforming Yau Tsim Mong into a district brimming with artistic atmosphere.

About the Group

Alice Theatre Laboratory (ATL) was founded in 2003. It receives grant from the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. ATL is devoted to experimental performances. In previous seasons, "Seven Boxes Possessed of Kafka", "The Tempest", "The Visit", “Les Chants de Maldoror” and “The Cherry Orchard Experimentation” were critically acclaimed and nominated for and received a number of awards for the Hong Kong Drama Awards, the Hong Kong Theatre Libre Awards. CNNGo has acclaimed ATL as one of the five most watchable Hong Kong theatre companies.

All activities of the scheme are free of charge.
