About the Programme

The project aims to introduce traditional Chinese culture through Cantonese Music by organising music performances and training classes. It features storytelling sessions in North District, where folk tales and stories are told in the form of Cantonese storytelling. Also, Cantonese Music performances will include nanyin that incorporate stories related to Chinese culture. All these enable the participants to explore, promote and deepen their understanding of Intangible Cultural Heritage and traditional culture while enjoying music.

About the Group

TroVessional aims to express Cantonese Music in a bold and innovative way. They have been invited to perform at various international events, including the Asia Cultural Co-operation Forum+ 2025, and followed the Chief Executive's delegation to perform in Middle East. TroVessional is also actively promoting local music education by organising school activities and producing music teaching materials. TroVessional conducted the "Nanyin Singing and Writing Workshop”; and produced an animation series "Baby Nanyin Sing with Me".

All activities of the scheme are free of charge.

The programme is also one of the activities in the Chinese Culture Promotion Series. The LCSD has all along promoted Chinese history and culture through organising an array of programmes and activities to enable the public learn more about broad and profound Chinese culture.
