2024-25 "Rhythm in Kowloon City" Multidisciplinary Drama and Performing Arts Training Project

About the Programme

The project aims to participants an opportunity to explore their performance talents and creativity through touring performances, exhibitions, workshops, and large-scale performing arts festivals. The training and learning outcomes will be extended to different age groups in the Kowloon City area, including primary schools, secondary schools, tertiary institutions, young professionals, adults, and seniors. The goal is to deepen the residents' understanding of performing arts, recognize the value of performing arts, and enhance their interest and appreciation for performing arts.

About the Group

Arts' Options is an arts-based life education organisation dedicated to integrating life education into daily life through the medium of art. Since its establishment, the organisation has been committed to providing drama and life education programs to various communities. Through the production of professional stage performances, they aim to promote universal core values and cultivate the local cultural and artistic atmosphere. The artistic director of the theater troupe is Chan Kwai Fun, and the core members are experienced stage practitioners with rich experience in drama art and drama education. They have designed, planned, and produced a variety of drama activities, workshops, lectures, and projects in collaboration with different schools and organizations. Their work has received high acclaim, including participation in the Leisure and Cultural Services Department's Community Cultural Ambassador Programme "Those Were The Days: Let's Play" in 2016, "Call Me Hipster' Youth Multi-arts Life-education Programme" in 2019, and "Old Urchin Artists" Elderly Multi-arts Life-education Programme in 2020. They have also participated in the "Transformational Multi Performing Arts Programme for Golden Agers" organised by Link REIT from 2019 to 2022. In addition, they have been involved in the "18dART Community Arts Scheme" from 2022 to 2024.
