The patterns on the mask displayed are some special patterns of South Africa called “Ndebele Patterns”. These patterns are used as symbols and expressions by the people of South Africa. The different colors on the masks also represent different feelings such as green meaning contentment, red meaning passion, black meaning rebirth and many more. The patterns are hand designed by the artist.
