Tap Musical Finale Performance

After half-year dance and singing workshops, participants will bring us a journey, travelling different ages of Sha Tin.  A finale performance will be staged to showcase achievement of the participants.

Tap Musical Shanty’s Story
A journey through the diary uncovers the life of Shanty, a girl who has lived in Sha Tin her whole life.  The story begins with 1950s-60s Hong Kong, back to the good old days of Hong Kong when we spent our days enjoying chicken congee at Sha Tin Market, barbeques in Hung Mui Kuk, as well as battling the devastating Typhoon Wanda.  Through decades of changes, Shanty witnesses the developments of her hometown.  Generations of families face hardships, yet stay and help each other, representing the resilience of Hong Kong people and their connection with the place.

No matter how time passes, and along with the encounters of joys and sorrows, Sha Tin remains, and will always be our home.
