The project aims to promote and nurture appreciation of contemporary dance in the community. It provides a series of trial classes, workshops, demonstrations and showcases to children, teenagers and the elderly in Tsuen Wan District.
To stage an opening performance in Tsuen Wan District to showcase contemporary dance to the community and kick-start the programme.
Workshops are organised to introduce the elements of contemporary dance and to offer in-depth experience to youngsters in the district, aiming to boost their interests in dance. There are also demonstration classes in Trial Workshops and demonstration performances for elderly to cultivate the artistic sense of the participants.
Four performances will be held in the community to showcase the workshop participants’ hard work and to enrich their performing experience. With exhibitions, the showcases will promote the project as well as contemporary dance to the community.
In view of the development of the pandemic, the showcases cum exhibitions were cancelled and replaced by an online exhibition.
The project will be concluded with a finale performance cum photo exhibition. The workshop participants will have a chance to perform at a performance venue to showcase their achievements.
