Cantonese Opera-cum-Shadow Puppetry for Youngsters III

A series of workshops with different aspects are provided for the youngsters to know more about Cantonese Opera.

Youth members of Kim Sum Opera Association will perform the excerpts of classic Cantonese Opera repertoire to arouse the interest and knowledge on Cantonese Opera in the district through interactive demonstration by the youth members.

Parent-child workshops are organised for the participants to learn the puppet making and manipulating skills.

To introduce puppetry to students through demonstration and interactive performance.

Workshop on Cantonese Opera for Youngsters are organised for the children and youth in Tuen Mun to provide them with introductory training and performance opportunity.

Workshop on Puppetry are provided for the participants to learn puppet manipulating skills.

Youth members of Kim Sum Opera Association will join hands with the participants of the Cantonese Opera rehearsal classes to showcase their learning efforts.

Members of Hong Kong Puppet and Shadow Art Center will perform with the participants of the puppetry rehearsal class to display their skills.

A joint performance for the participants to showcase their achievements.

All activities of the scheme are free of charge.

The programme is also one of the activities in the Chinese Culture Promotion Series.
