Hong Kong Drum Ensemble will stage an activation concert in Wong Tai Sin with local musicians, school drumming groups and Cantonese Opera percussion group to introduce the whole year scheme to locals.
To organise trial sessions and exhibition for the locals to experience Chinese drum and boost their interests on drumming art and Chinese music. Photos with brief introduction of Wong Tai Sin will also be featured in the exhibition.
To arrange various training workshops for different age groups. To nurtures participants to learn different types of musical instruments and performing skills.
An exquisite concert will be performed by Hong Kong Drum Ensemble and professional performers. Interactive Drumming Concerts are staged in the community allows the audience experience the joy of drum art. Participants will have the opportunity to perform or share their works in the concerts and prepare them for the finale performances.
The project will be concluded with 2 performances leading by drum art, traditional gongs and Chinese music. Combining light and shadow, 2 sound and live music performances will be demonstrated.
