The project aims to promote and nurture interests in theatre for teenagers and adults in the community through a series of systematic training workshops and touring performances, as well as finale performance highlighting the unique cultural characteristics of North District.
To stage an opening performance in North District and introduce the scheme to locals. The performance will be jointly held with Hong Kong Harmonica Association.
To recruit teenagers and adults in the district for physical acting, music and dance improvisation training. After participating a series of workshops, they will share their learning in the Showcase Performances. The Traditional Craftsmanship Workshop will also introduce food production process and, with the guide of tutor, to transform the observation to physical performance.
By reinterpreting the old Hakka daily life, the physical theatre performance links the present and the past for a closer glimpse of the unique culture of North District.
An exhibition to share the site research finding as well as learning progress of the participants in this project with the community.
A review of the enjoyable moments of the activities available online to showcase the learning process of the participants.
