"The story of the Black-Legged Bird"

"The story of the Black-legged bird" is a new play about "home and growing up".
Opening performances
Regular performances

Participants will learn how to make a paper puppet after each performance of "The story of the Black-Legged Bird".

Workshops

The workshop introduces different puppetry styles and basic puppetry skills. Participants will learn how to make a giant head shadow puppet.

Participants will create a "little egret kite" and let the kites fly into the sky.

The workshop explores the possibilities of the body movement, using body language to tell a story.

The workshop aims to give participants an opportunity to use mobile phones or pocket cameras to record different aspects of Tai Po district.

Participants will create different forms of shadow puppets.

Participants will learn the ecology of the red-whiskered bulbul and to understand the connection between individuals and nature through art creation.

To share the achievement of the participants.

Featuring the Black-Legged Bird and all the "bird friends" created in the workshops to perform the final version of "The story of the Black-Legged Bird".

Illustration storybook will be published to share the sweet and meaningful moments of the project with the public.

A documentary of the project will be displayed online for public viewing.
