Dance Up Hi! Contemporary Dance Project III

Workshops are organised to introduce the elements of contemporary dance and to offer in-depth experience to youngsters in the district, aiming to boost their interests in dance. There are also demonstration performances in trial workshops to cultivate the artistic sense of the participants.

Targeted towards full-time parents, the training provides small-group stretching exercises to help participants experience the connection between their bodies and minds. Two sessions of each class are specifically designed as parent-child session, where parents can bring their children to practice together and strengthen their relationship by continuing the exercises at home.

Demonstrations by professional performers will be arranged in various locations in the District to nurture local community and students’ interests in contemporary dance.

To showcase the workshop participants’ hard work and to enrich their performing experience. With exhibitions, the showcases will promote the project as well as contemporary dance to the community.

Performed together by workshop participants and professional performers, the finale performance will be staged at a performance venue with photo exhibition to showcase achievement of the participants of the project.

Programmes conducted in Cantonese.
